Sousaphones & Showers
Funny story.
One time I painted my friend a watercolor picture of someone smiling and she accidentally lost it in the band room.
And somehow one of the sousaphone kids found it. They thought it was cute.
And the sousaphones now hang it up on a pin board, along with their pusheen calendar and a couple other things.
They have no idea who painted it. But it’s just hanging up on their weird shrine board. Its been up there for a year and a half. It’s wild.
My school has a lot of sousaphones but only like three or four tuba players each year, so our director lets us take the extra sousaphones home to practice. I've had the same sousaphone at my house for years but I never practice it, so today I'm returning it to the school. Anyway, I took the sousaphone on the bus with me today and when I got on a little kid in the front was like "Whoa, that's a baritone!" At least you tried, little dude.
“You can bring a snack. But you cannot be a snack” -An actual thing my band director said today

Tom Wilson is Awesome! The guy who famously played “Biff Tannen” in the trilogy for “Back To The Future” is actually nothing like the bully he portrayed.
I love this interview with him when he was younger, especially since he was showcasing some of his humor with his unknown talent for being a Tuba player (Sousaphone in this case). He was in Marching Band - just like me! =)
I came across a couple of funny/interesting things online because of this guy (I friggin’ LOVE Back To The Future; Totally 80s dude)...
1. Michael J. Fox’s Marty never punched out Biff - If you freeze the screen-shot of Tom Wilson getting “punched out” in the diner right before the famous chase-scene in the original Back To The Future - you will notice it was the original shot with Eric Stoltz’s arm. Tom Wilson literally said in a radio interview that he never re-shot that scene (and upon further review - you can clearly notice a difference in Biff’s hair length - cleaner on the sides with the shots including Michael J. Fox, but when it cuts to him getting knocked out you can see for a second that it was indeed filmed when his hair was slightly longer on the sides - silly to focus on that, but that was the give-away, aside from Tom Wilson stating it anyway).
2. Tom Wilson’s Awesome stand-up and song “Biff’s Question Song” of which you can totally watch on youtube - https://youtu.be/iwY5o2fsG7Y
This guy is absolutely awesome - and he had me cracking up when I was listening to him discussing the dynamics between him and Eric Stoltz (since Stoltz was the original Marty McFly, and they had basically almost wrapped the film before he left production - pictures are online). I loved the anecdote of when he was filming with Eric Stoltz, and how Stoltz was “going method” and how everyone had to call him “Marty” lol “Except when he was hitting on Lea Thompson, everyone else call him Marty except Lea” lol according to Tom Wilson... He was saying how in the scene in the cafeteria when Biff and Marty grab each other’s shirts like they’re about to fight - when Stoltz was going at it with Tom Wilson - Wilson said the dude was like diggin in, you know, and he was like “uh..hey...’Marty’...you’re diggin in a bit man, so just so you know..” lol and then Stoltz went even harder on the second time around, and then Wilson was like.. “Look...ERIC....you’re diggin into my chest a lil’ much” lol, in which case Wilson claimed he was thinking well since Stoltz was going to be filming the famous scene in the end where Biff yanks Marty out of the car LOL, that Wilson would give his payback then lol - although Stoltz was allegedly fired before that was even shot.
Tom Wilson is AWESOME. He is hilarious, talented, and seems to be like a genuinely good dude. Check out his stand-up and also watch “Back To The Future”! This guy is SO underrated and overlooked for being such a true talent on-screen. He was so good at playing Biff that I don’t think people realize that he based Biff off of someone who used to bully him growing up. If that’s not turning Frustration into Inspiration - I don’t know what is.
“Look...’Marty’...” LMAO! Although I have to give it up to Eric Stoltz - thanks to Kim, I totally LOVE “Some Kind of Wonderful.” - Another excellent 80s flick. Catch ya Later, dudes.
