I AM TOO DAMN PROUD OF IT, AND THAT’S THAT!
Honestly, I want to be the first person on live TV to tell people “YES, I have an accent. Yes, I have an college education and my friends do too and have an accent as strong or stronger than me so STOP ASSUMING!”
It hurts people who are from southern places erasing this beautiful accent because other people see it as “dumb” or immediately place us on characters who don’t know two cents.
