IT FEELS LIKE this might be one of those times where eleanor puts in a lot of effort to over-complicate simple things. she often wonders why she feels the need to do that to herself, “i don’t think okay people sit alone as often as i do.” she says, staring ahead at slow moving clouds and a dulling sky. her arms are hugging bent knees; she decides to cool down the critic in her, just a little bit. what the other had asked had seemed nice, after all.

“..but i guess that’s subjective.” she takes a moment to look at them, then back to the sky where her eyes feel more at ease, having gotten used to the contrast. 

she speaks her concern like she had thought long and hard about how to phrase it just precisely, like it was prepared and wrapped up until further notice. “i think the people in my life suspect i’ve been acting strange. i don’t know how to fix it and that kills me.”
