they only want you to get screened for cancer every fews years because tumors in certain areas are slow growing. like every 5 years you get a colonoscopy and every 3 a mammogram cause thats the minimum amount of time between visits that would guarantee theyd find a tumor. they usually dont show up on tests until they reach a certain size so its a waste of money to do it too often
