He is not the brightest color in the box, hence some disappointment from his family members.
Because of his difficulties in studies, often being teased by childhood playmates, Lucio had become very withdrawn overtime.
Because of his lack of peers and socializing with people, he became a mute for a good portion of his childhood, resulting in some difficulties in his speech later on.
Things took a turn when Lucio was starting his teen years, finding passion in sports and becoming exceptionally talented in jousting.
He still talks very little, only commenting here and there when if it's of most importance. Lucio has a self motto of 'Listen to everyone first before speaking,' partly due to fear of being ridiculed and half afraid he'd say the wrong things since he's not the most eloquent of people.
Everyone in his family directs the talent in sports to Lucio and it's the only topic they deem important when concerning him. Talks about politics they veer away from him unless it's to ask him what he had learned from his tutors.
He has since then gained a cool and aloof status from his peers, many thinking that he just has no interest in the court and is only there for the many beautiful men and women to woo.
He likes to keep up the façade he has today because it makes people take him seriously, while also alluding to the fact that he has a hard time staying in court.
He is very studious, but it's just one of his many weaknesses, hence his low self-esteem. Not many people know of his problems, aside from very close friends.

Since young, Nilus has always been passionate about the arts and his parents had indulged him on his every whim... As long as it did conflict with his studies
When his parents were given advice on his intelligence in other aspects, such as politics and sciences they had immediately tried to divert his attention towards it.
He had become a bit rebellious in his teenage years, not wanting to get involved with much of court politics as it was not his cup of tea.
Due to his nature of being a natural social butterfly and charmer all around, people of the court easily gather to him, he uses this to his advantage instead of making them more interested in donating their time(and money) to art and culture projects for the country.
Nilus is a skilled painter, he often donates a lot of works to charity and public spaces for the citizens. He frequents visiting the common areas to teach the people of Nuvaria of arts and culture, mostly to children then finding the newest talent who he can help become the next artisan.
Aside from his passion for art, his next big interest is in history. Hence why he goes big about the importance of educating Nuvarians about culture and mingling with the common people.
Yes, he does his best to be very stylish and will not hesitate to outdress anyone (maybe even his own sister the Queen at the coronation, maybe).
He likes to call himself the belle of the ball whenever he attends parties.
