If they catch us with each other again, my family will find out and they might cut me off --" Haewon's first priority, of course, might have seemed like it was the money or her status; actually, she was protecting them. It was better if they stayed far away from her, she always ended up hurting them. Haewon attempted to dodge them, sliding past their shoulder and wincing when they faced her back so they couldn't see the hurt in her face at her rejection. @sovrumana

“Why are you laughing?”

She could understand why. Euna had spent the last five hours in the kitchen trying to bake the cake. The entire kitchen looked like a storm rolled through it and flour dusted over her cheek with bits of dough splattered in her hair. But she held that cake so proudly in her arms to show off to them even though it didn’t look all that pretty -- hopefully it would taste good.
