dreaming of you. | @cvvalier
she always remembered having these vivid dreams. dreams of her and a boy, a prince, together happily. and when she was younger she would run to her mother and recount the dreams she had. she believed that she was a princess and was married to a very handsome prince. her mom thought they were silly dreams.
sowon thought they were memories.
but time passed and the dreams grew darker. anger. hatred. and blood. so much blood. she would wake up screaming, covered in sweat, trembling in fear, and tears streaming down her face. she would have dream after dream of her own death. at some point her family took her to a child psychologist. but no one believed sowon.
she was sure they were memories, the therapists said they weren’t.
so she lied to everyone that she stopped having the dreams about her death and her faceless prince. later, these nightmares and dreams would slip into her life while awake. she couldn’t describe it, but it was like daydreams of her doing something, but as someone else. she would often zone out and others would have to help her focus again. she tried her best to brush them off, even though she was so curious about them. she decided to keep a journal of her dreams, nightmares, and daydreams.
and so, sowon continued living her life like that and now she was in university studying to be a teacher. she was currently walking in the hall, walking mindlessly. she begins to daydream, but its odd the dream is of her walking in the same hall she is in now. she feels a bit confused and doesn’t pay attention to her surroundings and suddenly she bumps into someone. struck by the sudden accident, she looks up at the other male to apologize. but she is stupefied. she gazes at the male in awe.
”i’m...sorry,” she says but it’s distracted. she knows, she knows him. her prince. no, she tells herself it is just the shock of bumping into the other that she must feel this odd connection.
