HK SP89

A factory made MP5 pistol for the U.S market, the SP89 is technically the biggest (size not caliber wise) handgun official HK put out for sale. Since it is based on the MP5, its can use almost all of the same parts, excluding some handguards. However, putting a stock on the SP89 would reclassify it as an SBR (Short Barreled Rifle). This is also part of the reason they're quite rare and expensive; many have been converted into SBR's by people who would rather avoid chopping, recrowning and rethreading the barrel on an HK94. The pistol version of the HK94, the SP89 was semi-auto only. Sold for a very short time, they are quite collectable among H&K enthusiasts. Many get converted for an SBR build. Due to their rarity they can cost upwards of $4,000 to $5,000, especially if its still unfired and with it's original box.
