Matter Crude and Coarse
Sometime last night I fell into your gravity,
Pulled into orbit, bowing to an invisible force.
It did not matter that I forsook my sanity
In a perfect world all water flows back to the source.
In the light your eyes were glistening
As breathless I sat listening.
What I wouldn’t give to lose this tender humanity
To be only what you spoke of: matter crude and coarse.
Airless and endless through the void sunrays go blistering.
