Dr. Brian Harold May receiving the Stephen Hawking STARMUS medal for Science Communication (featuring the Red Special!) is not just an awesome thing, it's a very prestigious honor and an important step forward in expanding our knowledge of the universe.
The James Webb telescope, the restored photographs of the moon landing, there's so much we're only just discovering. Yes, the prolific scientists we already know are a valuable source of knowledge, but it's people like Brian May who will inspire a new generation to take interest in the world around and above them.
I've been lucky enough to speak with him on many occasions, so I may be a little biased in being so excited, but through him, I've discovered the beauty of stereoanagraphs, and with every little bit of work he does, he shows us just how unique and wonderful our universe truly is.
