Ted putting a plastic bin over his head to be respectful to the women's team when they're changing THEODORE LASSO THE MAN THAT YOU ARE
Ted Lasso in the new season 4 trailer.
Ted Lasso s4 vs Sleepless in Seattle:
Ted not knowing what 'attachment styles' means 🤝 Sam not knowing whether tiramisu is a sex thing
Dr. Marcia Fieldstone 🤝 Dr. Sharon Fieldstone returns
Henry's telescope in his Kansas bedroom 🤝 Empire State Building observation deck
Ted & Michelle's code word for being honest is 'Oklahoma' 🤝 Sam gets a letter from a woman in Oklahoma
Ted quoting Casablanca 🤝 Sleepless in Seattle opens and closes with 'As Time Goes By'
Wizard of Oz references 🤝 Over the Rainbow on the Sleepless in Seattle soundtrack
Alright so it's not the dress from Ola's, but it is the dress Rebecca wears in 3x11 where she meets Dottie for the first time and calls Ted 'one of the nicest humans I've ever met' and the team watches You've Got Mail and Ted says he thinks Sleepless in Seattle is the superior Nora Ephron film...and Brendan Hunt did say there's a moment in s4 that's like when Meg Ryan realizes she shouldn't be with Bill Pullman and she's meant to be with Tom Hanks...and he didn't name the characters he's referring to in the episode...which again, could mean nothing...
Rebecca after Keeley teaches Ted online dating slang when signing him up for a dating app unbeknownst to her and he casually drops 'breadcrumbing' into their conversation in a folksy anecdote:
Rebecca's wearing the burgundy dress from that night at Ola's when she's on the date with The Flying Dutchman in the preview clip, and Ted's wearing his burgundy sweater from Ola's when he's on the date with the woman off the app...which could mean nothing...
“Why are you watching it again? You already know what happens.” Because The Character is in there, bro. THE CHARACTER
You've been kidnapped but the main character of the last TV show you watched is coming to rescue you.
Who’s rescuing you?
Keeley making Ted a dating profile in the episode 2 trailer??? Oh we really are in Sleepless in Seattle territory
Thinking about the fact that Ted's net worth is most likely somewhere in the range of £9 million to £16 million and yet he chose to live in a modest suburban neighborhood and work a part-time job as a favor. Thinking about Ted wanting to give Henry a normal childhood in Kansas where he attends a public elementary school and gets to play video games and hang out with his friends and play soccer without the pressure of being Coach Lasso's Son because he has a Normal Dad Who Does Normal Dad Things. He's prioritizing fatherhood and putting a good chunk away for Henry's college fund, he talks fondly about 'making up for lost time and helping him become the best version of himself', and now he's going back to Richmond to live in an affluent neighborhood and send his son to a top tier private school and presumably sign him up for the AFC Richmond Youth Academy. He's giving that boy the best of both worlds just because he can.
"Can I offer you some tea?" Ted Lasso S04E01 | Home
Something about Ted's voice going a little deeper when he's holding the scarf at the yard sale and he says 'But I gave it to you'
Ted's little smile, nod and 'mmhmm' when Rebecca mentions Zoom sex...which could mean nothing
Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso on episode 1, season 4.
Alright okay here's a positive thought: Ted's surrounded by reminders of his father in Kansas as a sign that if he stays he's doomed to repeat history BUT he's leaving and heading back to Richmond thus breaking the generational curse and exorcising the ghosts and demons of his past.
Thank you @chainofclovers for pointing me to the source of the 'PAINT THE WALL' pennant in Henry's room! It's a slogan associated with Sporting KC's charity initiative The Victory Project, which, as per the description on their website:
The Victory Project enhances the lives of children with cancer and creates inclusive opportunities through soccer for youth with disabilities and limited financial resources.
In celebration of Sporting Kansas City’s upcoming 2021 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs run, Sporting has released Paint the Wall captain’s pennants ma
This is an amazing cause and I think it's beautiful that it was included in season 4 💖
