*Mew stopped boundary their bubble and looked quizzically at the Pokeball. They popped their bubble and took the Pokeball in their hands and began to play with that instead.* “Mew!” *Cool!* *Mew knew what the ball was for but seemed more interested in playing with it as though it were a shiny new toy*
Yet another adoring squeak forced itself out of Jay’s lungs. How could such a powerful and ancient pokemon be so cute? It wasn’t fair!
“Just... be careful with that,” Jay warned, still torn on whether or not she should even attempt to capture this carefree little spirit... She’d be more at ease if she could know what the Mew would prefer.
Her eyebrow’s raised slightly as an idea popped into her head, and she reached to her belt and pulled up another pokeball... this one was a standard one, and seemed to already be occupied. The trainer pressed the button and the ball clicked open; flashing with red light as the creature inside was summoned beside her.
“Mrrreeeeooow!”
A meowth decorated with a beautiful dark purple collar and golden nametag materialized, and the cat pokemon stretched and flexed her paws as she let out a long yawn. That done, she bounced to attention, and looked up at Jay with wide, curious eyes.
“Mew, this is Stella!” Jay said, turning so the mew could face the meowth. “Stella, this is Mew! Wanna play a game together with me?”
“Mew! Mrrrmmmm...” translation: *Happy! Warm....” *Mew snuggles Jay*
Somehow, Jay could understand, or at the very least get the basic idea. Her eyes widened, complete with anime-like sparkles as she stared down at the legendary pokemon that was literally snuggling up to her at this very instant.
“Oh my god, can I keep you?”
