Okay so Luke is an absolute sweetie we all know this

But he’s also works very hard

So for Ella’s birthday what else would he do but write her a song?

He works his heart out on it. Day in and day out he’s thinking of words, tunes, etc. 

He wants the absolute best for Ella so he practically never stops working on it, he wants it to be absolutely perfect.

He’s working himself a little too hard, though.

Ella notices first, as he starts distancing himself from her because he wants to keep it a secret

She doesn’t say it but she really starts to miss spending time with Luke

The rest of the club starts to notice.

Luke even stops going to D&D to work on the song.

Everyone’s worried about him. He always does this, putting himself into his work, but never this much.

By the time Ella’s birthday actually rolls around she’s started to think that maybe she did something wrong, maybe he doesn’t like her anymore, etc.

The whole club gathers for her birthday but where’s Luke?

Suddenly there’s noise out the window.

A song.

Ella hurries to look, seeing Luke standing there singing the new song at Ella’s window. 

Everyone starts gathering at windows, watching Luke serenade Ella. 

She realizes this is why he had been distant and breaks into tears long before the song is over.

Luke races up to the party to kiss her, apologizing for being away and handing Ella the recorded CD.
