omg @spaceboibunny thank you, I adore you. I literally scream August’s name in caps in my head because I’m so excited about him, lol. He’s such an important character for me, as I typically don’t write my male characters taking the lead role in an original story. Normally it’s characters like Terra, or Amelia, who have the spotlight, so it’s nice broadening my writing expertise (not that I’m hardly an expert).
Okay, so head-canon for August: Despite his name, he was ironically born on September 27th, 1996. He’s half Irish (on his mother’s side) and half Turkish (biological father’s side). He also likes the season of Spring because in April is when Joanne and Suho got married and they moved to Tokyo, Japan. He’s a Libra. He’s a 23 year old student in his senior year of college. He’s very outgoing, personable, and enjoys working with others – (which is surprisingly opposite of most of my characters). He wants to surround himself with people, because he becomes uncomfortable when alone. However, his downfall is that he’s crippled by his inability to make a decision, to which drives his sister, June, insane. He once had a panic attack because he couldn’t decide which Pokemon game he wanted to buy: Heart Gold or Soul Silver, so Joanne got him both.
Is a 90′s kid. Once crashed a Club Penguin server.
Remembers playing Super Mario 64 on the NES and says things like “back in my day”
Totally went through a scene phase, don’t ask him about it. He wanted to be cool.
Doesn’t understand the concept of memes, but laughs to feel included
His favorite show growing up was “H20 Just Add Water” and can quote every episode. (He had a crush on Rikki)
He once had a pair of Heely’s but they barely lasted a full year because he tried doing a Tre-Flip on a bench and twisted his ankle
Dressed up as a dollar-store Pikachu for Halloween one year (it was a frightening costume, the cheeks weren’t a vibrant red and the mouth wasn’t even positioned properly)
Had a sugar rush at a middle school dance party and threw up on his math tutor
Still has at least 1 Webkins’ doll and keeps it on his bed.
The logo on it’s paw is faded, and it’s definitely dead on the Website, but August loves that thing and refuses to let his mom wash it
Is a casual fan of Godzilla films, has one action figure he found on e-bay and bought it for $100. He was grounded for a week.

August felt the slap of a wet towel on his neck, and he yelped. “Ouch! Ma!”
“Quit staring at nothing. I don’t pay you to slack!”
“You don’t pay me at all!” August cursed under his breath.
“That’s a dollar for the swear jar!” A young girl chimed gleefully, a smaller, even more adorable version of August. She was thirteen and a tiny ball of sass. She sat at the counter, a school books and a pencil case with its contents spilled out in front of her.
“You mean your college fund.” August replied with great cheek. Grumbling, he found a crumpled dollar in his pocket and placed it in a mason jar, covered in pastel hearts and unicorn sticker.
