The Theo came to again he found things to be a lot more bearable. It was still overwhelming sense wise, but at least he could focus more. He hadn’t seen anyone yet besides doctors and nurses running test. The process leaving him exhausted, but he wanted to stay up at little longer. To worried that if he fell asleep and woke up this would all be a dream and he would be back on that planet.
Or worse back under that rock. The looked own at what was left of his right arm. A small price to pay for actually making it through all this. He had the time to get used to surviving with out it. He’d soon have to learn what it would be like to actually live without it.
The sound of someone entering the room took his attention.
“H-hey..” He spoke voice scratchy. He wasn’t sure how to greet the individual.
Info: He’s come a long way, it’s looks like the worst is over.
After his phone made it through Theo figured it was only a matter of time before they’d find a way to keep the portal opened long enough for help to come through. Or for him to come through. The male had scavenged his way through this jungle world for too long. He was running out of energy, which is something very dangerous here.
He looked up at the sky, it wouldn’t be long now before another the portal would open. He kept moving to the estimated location. He started playing a small game in his mind, what would he do when he got home. Sleep was at the top of that list. In fact it was the first six things. Followed by a shit ton of apologizes. Then one of his mom sandwiches. Yes that was on there too.
His eyes caught the beam of light once more. Theo ran as far as his feet could carry him. Though his world was getting dizzy. He had to hold out a little longer. He spotted the portal. Though his brows furrowed when he saw something coming out it.
People coming out of it.
His confused expression turned into a bright smile. He took a step forward calling out to them.
“He-!”
Before exhaustion finally claimed him and his world turned black.
The sound of what should have been soft beeping woke him up like the bells of Notre Dame. His eyes opened, the world around him way to bright to handle. He immediately squeezed his eyes shut. Trying to use his pillow and hand to block the noise.
Wait... pillow?
The engineer sat up trying to focus on something to trail his thoughts. To figure out where he was. There was something in his nose. An oxygen tank? he tried to pull at it but something was definitely in his arm too. IV? Blood transfusion????
“H-Hello?” he called out, though even his own voice seem too loud and he immediately winced.
“Theodore” A voice spoke though he couldn’t figure out who’s the world around him seemed so distorted to him. Scientifically it made sense. He spent a long time and was used to the other planet. He could recall stories of his mother going through something similar. “You’re safe, just stay calm. It’s ok. You’re safe”
He was safe?
He was home??
Suddenly exhaustion seemed to creep at him again and he fell asleep once more.
Info: Theo is beaten and broken. But he is not giving up just yet. Here he has one more chance to make it home. Or at least give a hint to where he is.
One step further, to where he was still trying to figure out. He had figured out when the beams of light appeared. This world had two moons and when the moons aligned the beams appeared in a new location directly below the moons. He was doing his best to make his way to the estimated location, it followed a circular pattern almost. He could do this. He could go home.
Home. God did he miss home. He missed his family, his friends. Hell he even missed Ward at this point. He missed when home was familiar. Now this world and the unknown had become the familiar and home seemed so foreign.
One step further was what he kept telling himself. A way to motivate himself despite how badly his body ached and how injured he was. He had to keep surviving.
The wind began to pick up. A storm was coming. Then he saw it, that strange light once more. His eyes widened, he began to run forcing his body move. He was so close! He could do this. He stumbled a few times but kept moving. As rain poured down on him as if trying to prevent him from leaving. He wouldn’t let it. He fought against the storm and the winds.
He stopped at the edge of cliff side looking down at the portal. There was no way he could make it down, it was too far down. If he jumped and it closed he’d be dead if he could even aim himself correctly in the first place. If he didn’t try he’d have to wait and who knows when he could do this.
“God Damnit!!”
What could he do! What could he do!?
He pulled out his phone, on it were contents of his discoveries. Video messages to friends and family. Information that could help find him. This could be the only thing he could do. With one last chance he recorded a small clip of just his face. As bruised and bloodied as it was.
“I’m Alive! Come find me!”
He threw the phone down into the portal praying it would make it through.
“Come on Come on”
He watched in anticipation as the portal closed, taking his phone along with him.
For the first time in a long time a smile broke out on the engineer’s face. He jumped into the air.
“Yes! Yes!” He cheered, looking up at the sky “Take that you stupid planet!!”
Info: It’s been a week Since Theo was ripped away from Earth. Now he finds himself in a worse situation then he thought.
“Theodore Fitz-Simmons log number 200. According to my phone it’s been one week since I was stranded. At least one week on Earth. Here the days are quicker. So it feels much longer to me. I haven’t been able to find a place that is not covered in tree’s and planet life.”
Theo had been running from random creatures and surviving every moment. The only break he had was when he slept and even then he was on high alert. So really there wasn’t much sleep.
“Every so often a beam appears in the sky. My theory is that it’s possible that those locations are random portals. I-”
Low growls were heard once more. Theodore, quickly stopped his recording and began to run. Swiftly moving his ways through trees. He had gotten more agile during his time here.
Grabbing a low branch he swung up and sat on top of a branch watching one of the mysterious creatures race past him. He held his breath and once he was sure it was gone he let out a sigh. Climbing back down he quickly ran off in a different direction to find better cover as night approached.
Though as he ran fate struck down on him harshly. His step collapsed a weak part in the ground and he went tumbling down into an underground cave. He let out a cry has he hit the bottom. But the worst hadn’t happened yet. Pieces of falling rock came down with him landing specifically on his right arm.
He cried out in pain vision turning spotty for a moment. He tried to move but the pain was to intense and the weight on his arm was to much.
Info: While examining something for the school, Theo finds himself in similar shoes to one of his parents.
Theo’s favorite place was the lab. Everyone on campus knew this by now. Those he didn’t know him but passed the lab have probably seen him working. Some projects for class, some for fun and some as favors for the school.
Currently he was examining a strange gem stone that crashed to Earth. As a small favor to the school, that he may or may not have volunteered for.
It was roughly the the size of pineapple, with a egg like shape. So far he hadn’t been able to identify it, even with both universe’s vast knowledge of extra terrestrial culture. There was little luck in figuring out what it was or where it came from It hadn’t really done anything yet despite the different test Theo ran. Keeping a relatively safe distance of course.
He was stumped.
He paced the room, circumambulating the foreign object. It was going to bother him no doubt. He sighed, looking at the time. It was still early. Maybe he should take a break, see if someone wants to go grab dinner or something?
Yeah. He needed a break.
As he unlocked his phone a strange light started glowing from the egg.
“Bloody hell?” Theo looked up putting his phone back in his pocket. Suddenly, a strange beam of light came out of the egg opening a strange portal in front of him. Almost like a black whole it sucked him in before he could even properly react, then immediately closed, the room now still and quiet as it was before.
Theo was flung out of the portal landing on dirt. A small oof followed by a groan escaped his lips. He immediately got up.
“Shit shit shit...” He cursed running his fingers through his hair as he looked around the immediate area. The all he could see were trees, like a jungle except with weirdly colored plants. Definitely not Earth like.
How could he be so carless!? How could he be so stupid?! Well it wasn’t like he activated the weird portal, but surely he should have been able to be more careful right?
“Hello?” He called out maybe some signs of life were around?
A low growl was heard from the trees in front of him.
