I drew this xenomorph completely from memory, which is why it is a shiny latex penis with an enormous mouth instead of an even bigger latex penis with a small but scary mouth.

Poor spacedad is trying his best to not be impolite but. it’s scary. he emphatically doesn’t like it.

just had a stunning realization

as a kid oeddie was intensely isolated from other people

but he’d heard Some Facts

he’d heard the Fact about how you can grow more potatoes from an existing potato

and he’d heard the Fact about how if you eat seeds the plant can grow inside your stomach

leading to a very uncomfortable time period where he was afraid of eating french fries because he wasn’t sure how many fries you’d have to eat before you made a whole potato

Spacedad AU Sparkleshark Jo!!

Technically speaking, the Dravaari are what evolved from an apex predator on their planet- riddled with shallow seas, land is mostly just “coral reefs that got too tall,” and ambulatory sea anemones developed specialized sensory organs and an organ that could mimic pheromones and hormones in other animals that led to their total domination both in and out of the water. Just imagine a poor deer walking around, eating some grass at the edge of an estuary, and all of a sudden they start to feel real sleepy and safe, and meanwhile there’s this really colorful shark with tentacles the size of a buick waiting for the poor dummy to stumble just a little closer. Nowadays they’re more like empaths than anything else! Because of their pheromone abilities, they really never evolved any kind of camouflage, and instead are always extremely bright and colorful and flashy- the better to attract curious prey with!Their gills are technically nonfunctioning- they can train themselves to use gills again, but it takes tons of practice and is not something they can do in an emergency without this specialized training. Their fingers and toes are still slightly webbed, though!

Like most iterations of Jo, this one is an emergency medical care worker- she is a medic who has a general practice dealing in most species in the galaxy. The yellow parts of her boots and her protective vest signify that she’s an emergency worker- roughly 70% of the various cultures in the galaxy come from places where yellow is predominantly used in threat displays, and is considered the universal warning color now. However, in a couple of cultures- specifically the cultures of a species called lagomorphs- they associate yellow with first contact, because when the alien ships landed they flashed yellow lights everywhere to warn bystanders away for safety. By this time in history, yellow is the “gamer color” for this species (yellow and silver = red and black, basically, you know how Gamer Stuff Looks Like That.)

Space Skittles Hyena Kip gave her that flower scrunchie! it’s good for keeping tentacle/feelers out of Jo’s face while she’s working.
