I’m especiallybummed because I bought spacefam presents last year and had them delivered to my sister in SF so I could give them out during the conference, but they all arrived late (except my handmade jewelry for H/woc) :/ so buying presents this year just makes me think of what I got last year but never handed out

I’m actually very, very desperate about this situation and I really hope that my mentor can do something. I got my first internship rejection (of 16 apps, although 3 positions read filled on the site), which is Fine and they were actually super flattering in their email, but I need something so so much.

M and I have this weird, linked luck that we always get rejected from every internship or graduate app except one regardless of our experience/the year etc. Crossing my fingers on this.

I reread my thesis yesterday because I was considering attaching it as a writing sample for an application, and I realized that ? while it sparks a small icicle light of pride in my soul, it mostly reminds me of spending hours in the ESM computer lab, sleep deprived and with herbal tea, messaging the science team and working on the new documents for the project
