Between Dave's time powers and Jade's space powers, the two spent a bit of time exploring alternate timelines, doing a bit of recon to see how their alternate selves and friends were doing in their progression of the game, hoping to gather information on how to win. In one particular timeline their alternates had all but secured victory, but in order to restart paradox space and set things back to normal, the team had to unanimously decide to sacrifice their respective time and space players. Seeing the opportunity to help their alternates win the game and escape the hell that had ensnared them and stolen their innocence, Jade turned to Dave and took his hand in hers.
"We'll do it," she said firmly, giving Dave's hand a quick squeeze. "We'll sacrifice ourselves...at least that way...one of our timelines will have a happy ending."Beside her Dave, stoic as ever, nodded. He could think of no better way to die than by Jade's side for the sake of his friends.Maybe just this once...he could be the hero.
