I remember the first time I heard Acid Rap and thought, “damn wtf is this.”. I remember listening to it and being completely mind blown by the musical genius that is Chance the Rapper. While I enjoyed the originality Acid Rap brought, I feared Chance was heading for typical mainstream success, get signed and drown into the typical bs you hear on the radio but Nahhhh, Chano ain’t no sell out he remained unsigned and just kept doing amazing things both in and out of music. I honestly dont think the fact that he won a Grammy christens his success but I think it’s how he did it. Goes to show There are no rules of architecture for a castle in the clouds. Congrats and Thankyou to Chance the Rapper. #3
