After trying to figure out wtf has been going on with my hands for 2 years and a bunch of doctors misdiagnosing me, I have finally narrowed it down to overwork and circulatory problems, cause the issues worsen during the cold months, hooray hoorayyyy!

Luckily, this year it's been less painful, but I'm still being careful :'3

Now for the Jacob news, which are a LOT more interestingggg I've been contacted by a couple people who have found/archived a bunch of Jacob art & more!

So very soon I'll be updating my Jacob Alden files, giving it a rehaul, so to speak, it's gonna be bigger, have more resources, with credits to all knowing and unknowing contributors!

Also one last thing I'll be doing!

A few months back, the AO3 book containing some old Jacob lore and asks was taken down, I fixed it temporarily by uploading the screenshots I'd taken of the whole thing, but honestly, screenshots don't really look super clean, and since then, thanks to other archivists more asks have been resurfacing...

So I decided, fuck it, I'll remake the book myself and include everything else too! So we can be 100% sure this thing's gonna be archived properly-

Idk if I wanna use AO3 too, keep it all on Tumblr, or make a google doc, but I wanna make this happen for our man!

(So that he may hopefully forgive me for neglecting him lmao)

But- my cousin finally convinced me to give Boruto a try, since we both grew up watching Naruto, like the good weebs we are... and uh

Yeah, bug man... uuuugh

I love this guy, loved him since the old days cause of his cool and gnarly bug powers- and I KNOW a ton of Naruto fans hate his Boruto design and quirky(er) personality, but it's grown on me- like- a lot. It's actually nice to see him be more vulnerable, get to see his softer side, it's cute it's cute!!

Tried using Twitter again for a while, and aside from the difficulty of getting noticed in an unforgiving algorithm as a small artist... the level of negativity and hatred I've witnessed there is really not worth it.

There's some really cool art, but despite solely liking that and memes on it to try and curate my FYP like I do here, discourse and drama just keep getting pushed my way, and I'm not about that

I really wanted to give it a try cause it's got more people, more reach, whatever, and that can be useful as an indie artist

But it's really REALLY not worth it

So much negativity

Literally never came across so much of it here, and even then it's so easy to block out and never see it again

Milluki's and Illumi brother relationship edition

And now everyone else must know because I've spent too much energy on this not to talk about it...

So, it's about the "If only Illumi were here!" line, Milluki says when he's struggling with Greed Island.

For the longest time, I thought it was a cute detail, him wishing his big brother was there to help him, maybe hinting that their relationship could be a bit more positive.

But a couple days ago I bought the Italian version of Vol. 8 where the same scene takes place but...

Although we get that "If only Illumi were here" bit, there's also a bit of extra dialogue- "Potrei intavolare una trattativa con lui!", which translates to "I could make a deal with him!"

Wait a deal?? Did the Italian version just make it up... or is the English translation lacking?

My detective mode was activated. I needed to know, so I looked for a Japanese scan and...

The highlighted part of dialogue reads "irumi-ni ga ireba torihiki dekiru no ni". "If Illumi-ni were here, I'd make a deal with him". ("torihiki" being "deal")

So... this is kind of sad, though... I should've expected it from how the Zoldyck family normally works. Since Milluki talks about how hacking into the hunter site would be too dangerous, he was probably just needing Illumi for his Hunter license, and moreover, that his first thought was a deal, much like the ones he strikes with Killua, which means he's aware his older brother won't help him for free.

I'm kinda mad about this lol

But mostly now I'm wondering why the English translation omitted this pretty important detail, and changed that dialogue box into something... frankly redundant.

Anyway, thank you for listening to my ramble lol never thought being Italian would lead me down this path.

Sumo may have taken over my life a lil, it happens every time there's a tournament lol but I promise once it's over I'm going to catch up with posting some commission work I did for some wonderful people and other stuff...

The rest of my focus so far has been on my side blogs ironically

I wanna start posting some original works on here but uuuuh... gotta outline it and actually draw it first... haha...
