The title translates to "The law is whatever is written is down" and its a death note au where Sunday takes the place of Kira as Septimus (like his boss forms name hehehe) and Reader takes over for L as Detective R
its based in Penacony still but like if Penacony was a country not a planet and the other planets are just different countries (mainly bc I didnt want to deal with how a death note would work in the canon hsr universe so I guess its also a modern au 🤔)
… full disclosure: the real reason i figured it out immediately was that i myself am actually also working on a different death note au with hsr characters. i’m obsessed with it, it’s actually like the only thing i’ve been able to think about constantly for the past 3 months. and sunday is the protagonist aka light stand-in in it as well… so when i saw “sunday au thing + misogynistic source media + two women shafted + can’t be robin” i naturally immediately thought of death note without delay haha
anyway, your one sounds cool!! i’m using different characters for many of the other roles. and i’m also taking a bunch of liberties with the plot, character dynamics and everything else, so it doesn’t actually follow the original plot completely and differs from it in various aspects.
i’m curious, who are you using for the other characters? like L or the task force members or Near and Mello, or Kiyomi, Mikami, or Ryuk, etc. if you don’t want to share all of them or you haven’t figured them all out, i’m especially curious about your choice of character for L’s role because i was stuck on that one for a while at first because i decided to go with something unusual

for this reason im not actually planning to write anything past "Silence" because the reader will be taking the place of L, which yes... i am aware that makes the whole thing a little extra complicated lmfao but its not like i have to have the rem stand-in say what readers name was to write it down.
but if i where to pick a character to be L in a general hsr death note au against kira sunday, well id have to pick either dan heng or aventurine though i am contraining myself to characters that appear in penacony so like... otherwise id chuck anaxagoras in there as an option as well

changing the plot and character dynamics is so valid, i would have changed the misa-light dynamic so i could use robin as misa but it just... wouldnt fit for either character it would have felt wrong, so i have to keep the obsessive girlfriend angle alive and relegate robin to a minor role as sayu
basically the oneshot [god i hope i can make it a oneshot] will go from "rebirth" to "silence" when well... L aka reader dies
i dont mind expanding on the characters i picked at all!! mainly bc it doesnt affect the plot i have in mind at all lol
Sunday is Light, which makes Robin Sayu, and Gopher Wood is Soichiro. GW adopted them like in canon. Gallagher is Ryuk bc of the dormancy, bloodhound and not being able to be seen by anyone but the trailblazers thing.
Reader is L, with Welt as Watari bc I mean cmon... it's Welt.
Misa is a tossup between March & Firefly rn. Rem being a tossup between Acheron [who would be with March], or Jade [paired w Firefly] I'm still deciding on these two.
Matsuda is Dan Heng bc I am biased and do not want him to die LMAO.
Aventurine is Naomi and Ratio is Penber [I am sorry Dr Ratio, I needed to shaft someone by making them Penber's also misogynistic ass please don't murder me king 🙏 🙏 🙏 ]
