Client Spotlight: Angela Shelby
We sat down with our star customer Angela Shelby, owner of Sparkling Clean Windows in Kerhonkson, NY, to see how ServiceTask was working for her business. Here is what she had to say:
ServiceTask: Why did you start using ServiceTask? How were you keeping track of customers and scheduling jobs before?
Angela: Before ServiceTask, I did everything manually. I typed weekly forms to schedule jobs, keep track of customers, and plan routes. Repeat customers were kept in a completely separate list. When a change in the schedule came about, I would have to alter it by hand or add notes to my forms. It was time consuming.
ServiceTask: How has ServiceTask helped your business operate more efficiently?
Angela: ServiceTask has radically changed how I run my window cleaning business. Now, I simply add jobs and customers; everything is constantly updated. Managing my repeat customers is a breeze now that I can simply set jobs to repeat automatically on a custom interval. I use the tagging feature to quickly organize customers by the month I serve them and by location. If I want to see all of my customers scheduled for a certain month, I simply click that tag and have an instant list.
ServiceTask: What kinds of problems has ServiceTask helped your business deal with?
Angela: Being able to tag customers by location has allowed me to track areas of growth and recognize patterns or new clients. This is something that was near impossible when I had to keep track of everything manually.
ServiceTask: Can you estimate how much time you save with ServiceTask?
Angela: I am able to eliminate at least an hour a week using ServiceTask, leaving more time to focus on my business and clients.
ServiceTask: Do your employees enjoy using ServiceTask?
Angela: Sparkling Clean Windows is basically just me and my husband, but I handle most of the back-end business activities. Before ST, I had to be in a constant conversation with my husband to make sure everything ran smoothly and no jobs fell through. Now, I simply print out what needs to be done for the day or week, and my husband and I can focus on getting the job done.
ServiceTask: When you had a problem, was ServiceTask responsive?
Angela: It took me a little while to get up to speed with all of the features, but didn’t experience any problems once I had it figured out. The online, live demo with Al was very helpful. Any time I had a question, Al was there to answer questions and make me feel comfortable with it. I know that I can call or email whenever I need to and I’ll be made welcome and helped quickly. I really appreciate that ServiceTask treats me like their biggest client, even though Sparkling Clean Windows is a relatively small business.
ServiceTask: Would you recommend ServiceTask to other businesses?
Angela: I have nothing but good things to say about ServiceTask and am glad that I found this solution for my cleaning business. I never hesitate to recommend ServiceTask to other businesses whenever questions about software come up!
