"I'll have the same please." She said politely, smiling up at the waitress warmly. The waitress wrote down their orders before walking away. "So you said you were in a swim club, do you ever participate in competitions?" Spark asked curiously. (I'm really sorry about the late reply! I've had a very stressful few weeks/months x) - Spark

“Hm?” Makoto turns his attention back to you since he had been looking at the decorations around the store. “Oh, yeah! My team and me participate in competitions whenever they come up, which isn’t as often as you think,” he laughs sheepishly. “We spend most of our time practicing on our strokes. What about you, Spark? Do you have any hobbies?”

Spark smiled warmly at Makoto. "That'd be really lovely. It'll be nice to meet them!" When he asked what she'd choose for him she looked up in thought. "I would recommend the caramel hot chocolate and a cinnamon roll? But those are just my favourites you don't have to have that stuff." She rubbed the back of her neck nervously, her ears going red. - Spark

“No, I’ll try it,” Makoto shakes his head to say that it’s alright, smiling at you.

“Excuse me, miss?” he calls for one of the waitresses so he could give her his order. After he’s done telling her, he looks over to you. “Are you going to be ordering anything, Spark?” he asks as the waitress smiles at you kindly, waiting for your order.

"Iwatobi.. As in the high-school? I'm moving into that school next week! Maybe I could meet your friends?" She lightly tapped on the table absent-minded then seemed to remember something. "Did you uh, want a drink or something to eat from the cafe?" Spark inquired tilting her head slightly. - Spark

“Oh, what a coincidence,” Makoto smiles at you warmly, “I’ll make sure to introduce you to them, then. I’m sure they’ll be happy to meet you too.” He straightens himself up when you ask him if he wants food or drinks. “Um, sure, if you wouldn’t mind,” he answers, “maybe you could choose something for me, though? I always order a coffee and a piece of strawberry cake, but I think it’s time that I try something different.”

That statement made Spark calm down for the most part but she was still a little bit embarrassed. "So, what sort of hobbies do you have?" She asked trying to change the subject, brushing her ginger hair behind her ears. The windows in the cafe starting to fog up due to the cold temperatures outside. Autumn leaves flew past in the wind. - Spark

“Well, I’m on my highschool’s swim team with three of my friends. We haven’t been really practicing lately though, since its starting to get cold outside. We’re actually trying to get permission from the coach who owns the Iwatobi Swim Club Returns to use the indoor pool there. I’m sure he’ll say yes because two of us have know him since we were little,” he explains to you, watching one of the leaves drift by.

A blush began to cover Sparks face and she realised that she's spoken aloud. "I'm sorry. I d-didn't mean to say that out loud, I mean it's true but I guess it's kind of creepy to just randomly say stuff like that." She began to fidget nervously with her hands as she glanced out the window, unsure of what to do. - Spark

You hear a small chuckle come from Makoto, causing you to look back over to him. "It's fine, really," he says with a reassuring smile. "We all make mistakes like that once in a while, so I understand."On the outside, the green eyed boy may have seemed calm and collected, but on the inside he was still dwelling on the fact that you called his eyes beautiful...he never really got compliments from girls, after all.

Spark glanced over to her aunt briefly, "Yeah she is and your friends are welcome anytime as are you" She rested her head on her hands with her elbows against the table as she returned her gaze to Makoto. After a few moments of looking into his eyes with her icy blue eyes she muttered, "you have really beautiful eyes" under her breath not expecting him to hear. ~ Spark (sorry it took so long for me to reply)

Makoto’s eyes widen slightly from the unexpected compliment that he barely manages to hear, and you notice his cheeks start to turn a light shade of pink. “Th-Thanks,” he says as he laughs sheepishly, not used to compliments from a girl. “I like your eyes too…”

Spark blushes as he held the door open for her, she thought it was really lovely how much of gentleman Makoto was as she thanked him before stepping inside. Almost as soon as she entered the room a middle aged women with the same vibrant blue eyes came over and gave Spark a hug. "Spark! How are you doing? Was the trip over to Japan ok? Did you get lost? Sorry, we would've picked you up but the cafe has been buzzing today!" Spark's aunt spoke quickly making her niece chuckle. (Part 1) - Spark

“Don’t worry about it. After all I had some help getting here.” Spark explained with a smile whilst looking over to Makoto. “Auntie Zoe, meet Makoto. He helped me get here safely.” Zoe glanced over at Makoto and gave him a warm smile, “Thank you Makoto, my niece is very prone to getting lost. Please sit down, if there’s anything I can get for you please let me know.” She asked kindly before walking off to talk to other customers, leaving Spark with a pout on her face. (2) - Spark“I don’t get lost that easily…” She muttered, her face tinted a light pink in embarrassment. - Spark (I’m really sorry it’s in so many pieces!!) (3 - the last piece)

Makoto laughs sheepishly at your remark before resting his chin against his hand while his elbow rests on the table. “Your aunt seems really nice,” he says, smiling faintly, “I see that she’s busy too, so I’ll order when she’s done with the rest of the customers. Anyways, Spark, thank you for letting me come with you. I think I’m going to start coming here more often…the atmosphere is really cozy and I’m sure my friends would like to come here too sometime.”

"Nice to meet you too Makoto." She smiles and looks around doing a small spin. "I guess, but I do love the cold!" Spark replies, returning her gaze to Makoto's. "That'd be nice. My aunt and uncle actually own the cafe so I could get you a discount if you want." She nudges Makoto in the arm lightly, it had been a year or two since she'd last seen her relatives from Japan so she was a little unsure as to how they would react to her bringing a boy with her. - Spark

“Oh, you don’t have to do that,” Makoto waves his hands in front of him as he shakes his head, “If your family owns it, then let me pay the full price as a way of showing my support.” When you and him finally make it to the café, a smile finds it’s way onto Makoto’s face. “I like the cat decorations they have here,” he admits with a shy chuckle before opening the door, holding it open for you.
