Honestly!
I do appreciate the ones who actually try. From what I read, and if it's true, Channing had months with a dialect coach. With a Cajun accent, that has to be a requirement to do it justice. I feel like it's one of the hardest accents for someone to do - if I tried to put on a more exaggerated version of my own, I think I'd sound off too! And I've lived here my whole life.
Even though Channing did a good job, it still sounds very much like 'man doing accent' to me. Not that natural. But that would be so hard to do, I think. And since the bar is under the tile, I'll take what I can get.
