- A Happily Ever After with your Tav and Astarion where he heals from his trauma? I don’t know about that one and it makes my eye twitch but I also know that there’s important healing work that can ONLY be done in the context of a relationship. So, I let it be, because I believe in the power of letting people like things.
-Astarion and your Tav raising children together? I’ve seen so many well done Dadstarions (especially @nyx-knox ‘s) that my skepticism is overruled. Let people like things, I say.
-Ascended Astarion fans who like him fluffy, evil, or only sweet for Tav? After jumping into the deep end of dark romance books, I can say Ascended Astarion is a kitten compared to the MMC’s in books people bought with their dollars to read. I don’t see them being accused of being abuse apologists in bookish spaces. Let people like things.
-Same goes for Spawn Astarion fans. Listen, if your headcanon is that he becomes a chaotic good adventurer after the game, then that’s cool. I don’t agree fully, but I’ll respect it because I believe in letting people like things.
