I was wondering how does one make cc? i want to make cc of those ring splints for finger hypermobility and maybe compression gloves as I cant find them anywhere. What would you say the best way to go about making them is? thank you!

I love those ideas! I made a set of gloves ages ago, but they're awful.

What you'll need to make any piece of cc is Sims4Studio (free) and a photo editor like Photoshop. I use a free one called Krita but I've dabbled in GIMP too (some things require a Normal Map and/or a Specular Map, which you have to save as a .DDS file; you can't do that in Krita, but you can in GIMP and Photoshop).

To make a mesh, you need Blender (free). There are pay 3D editors too like Autodesk Maya and others but Blender is awesome and free. On the download page for Sims4Studio, it'll tell you which version of Blender to download.

Youtube tutorials are you best friend for real! You probably won't find much in exactly what you're making, but it depends on if you want to make just a texture or a mesh. A texture example would be a lipstick, eyeshadow, any makeup really. Making a mesh can make something 3D, like a shirt, pants, any build/buy item. But a mesh will also need a texture.

I search "ts4 cc tutorials" or "ts4 blender" on youtube.

There are literally (probably) infinite ways to make a piece of cc, because it just comes down to how you want to make it. As for the compression gloves, you could make them just a texture of compression gloves by finding gloves you like online (like a royalty free picture or something, or a product that is being sold maybe to take inspiration from), and use that texture. Or, you could draw it from scratch yourself in the photo editor. After you make the texture, you import it into s4s, and decide whether or not you want it to look 3D. You could do this by ACTUALLY making it 3D by creating a mesh for it, making a Normal (Bump) Map, or just leaving it as if it's laying on the arm. Then, for the specular map, you decide if you want all or some of the texture shiny. If not, then don't make a specular map.

I know all of that is confusing if you've never made CC before; hell, it's still confusing to me (I'm still learning DDS files and maps). Honestly, I started with makeup and different textures then moved on to meshing. I found it easier that way!
