“Why are you here?”

She yawned, as if bored, her eyes half lidded. If someone did not know better it would seem like she did not care at all for the question she had asked, and instead was just trying to make small talk, but she was genuinely curious. She usually did not see the Boos around this area, or at all really- they seemed to be rather well hidden and very unsocial.

Boodexter is literally the biggest King Boo supporter I have ever seen.

[ @spcckyscience ---  based off a conversation that boodexter-mun and i had in skype! we talked about what would happen if boodexter saw king boo getting killed right before his eyes by a very certain e. gadd.

     it shouldn’t have been a surprise to boodexter that king boo and      a couple of boo guards popped up inside the mansion’s library. or      at least, to king boo it shouldn’t have. he sent out a mass letter to      all boos focusing in the career of science, or any assistants of the      ghostly professors, saying that he would be coming for rounds in      a couple of days. he expected everything to be in tip-top shape!      that all of the scientists were on point and that they had efficient,      boo-worthy data, and followed every law put in place for them.

     king boo had a lot of strict policies against experimentation. since      e. gadd had twisted his mind so much on the idea of science, he      had grown a nasty grudge against any and all hypotheses and      theories and any of that science-like stuff. he despised it almost,      and thought that a scientist is never in their right-mind, always out      to seek pain on their victims. he had a better image of a boo, as      he always did. he trusted them more. thought that their range of      abilities would be no where near professor e. gadd’s.

     much to his dismay, the three paintings that hovered behind him      and the other two boos proved otherwise. in all three were boos      that had broken scientific law. in some way, shape, or form, they      had caused the guards to cross an “x” on their check-list and be      locked away until king boo said otherwise. one of them had a      lab coat on -- that was an automatic offense, and didn’t help their      case at all.

     they waited for boodexter to show up, and when he did, the royal      boo immediately took note of the glasses. with a squint, he held      up his clipboard and pen suspiciously. very few boos wore glasses      and those that did needed papers from a doctor boo to prove that      they needed them. leaning toward his right, he kept his red eyes      on the boo and murmured something in one of the guard’s ears.      not a moment later, the guard disappeared and reappeared near      a bookshelf, rummaging through the books.

     the king blinked and brought his gaze back over to boodexter.      he grinned at the boo and lifted his pen, ready to tick off any      offense that he could have potentially made.

     ❝ --- Don’t mind her. Act like she’s  n o t  even there! She is               checking around for your medical  excuse.  Once she               finds it, she’ll be  o f f  your property. But for now, focus               on me and your records. You got the  m a i l ,  correct?               My notification that stated that  I  was going to  check               on the scientists in the kingdom? This is what  this  is.               I’m going to look through your   records   on my clip-               board, and if you’ve broken  m y  law... ❞

     king boo lifted a nub and brought his eye over toward the three      portraits that hovered behind him and the guard that floated just      beside him. dual teeth bared as his grin widened.

     ❝ --- You will have the   S  A  M  E   fate! 

     ❝ --- I like to look on the  bright - side, though. Let’s assume               that you’ve followed  every  law until I prove otherwise!               You are a  B o o ,   after all. So... are you ready? ❞
