#Repost @nathandoesbeer Remember @spearheadbeer’s Sam Roberts Band Ale? That beer has since retired, but they’ve launched a new @samrobertsband collab beer called Collider Fusion, a 4.9% Old World meets New World IPA. It’s hopped with Brewer’s Gold, an old school British hop known for creating flavours of spice and blackcurrant, and Eclipse, a new Australian hop known for notes of citrus and pine. It pours a clear copper with a white, foamy head and with berries and red tea on the nose. There’s citrus peel bitterness up-front on the palate, followed by red berries and rooibos tea-like spice and floral characteristics. There’s orange flesh and juiciness with a nice hit of pine leading to the finish. It’s an interesting IPA that really does bring some old and new world vibes together. It’s got a nice medium body for under 5% ABV, and good carbonation to give it a frothy feel.
