Pair #3 for 2018! Just in time for #FOfriday my "Fruit Of The Vine" Socks are off the needles and ready for a bath. I wanted to show the full length of sock you can get from our new Shorty Sock Twin sets, so you can see I played (and won) a calculated game of yarn chicken🐔 on the cuff. The two 30g balls of yarn that come in these sets still gave me a decent leg length with my size US Women's 9 foot. These were knit toe up with the amazing double gusset on the bottom of the foot by @knitphomaniac . I knit them at 64 st on a US1. These Shorty Sock sets are great for those that want to enjoy the full color spectrum of our gradient or speckle gradient yarns, but (like me) prefer shorter socks or have smaller feet. Our Llark Sock Twins are Speckle dyed so they are slightly fraternal twins of course. We also have our Lleap Gradient Sock Twins available in these Shorty sets. Both are dyed side by side with their twin to make them as closely matching as possible. The next pair I make will be my personally preferred ankle sock length, which should leave me enough to add a little to my scrappy Granny Stripe crochet blanket! Nick’s face is on his screen, because it always fucking is, because Louis likes him, and he likes having Nick’s comfort even if they aren’t in the same room. He likes how easy it is with Nick, how, despite all of their bickering, they both fall into the same, easy patterns. He likes that even though he’s on tour, he still feels like Nick is with him, complaining about how shitty Simon Cowell is.
“Pig’s doing great, by the way, even though you’re awful and haven’t asked about her,” Nick’s grinning, the fucking bastard, because he knows Louis gets worried about Pig missing him, and he’s always calling for updates on her.
Honestly, if Louis didn’t know he loved Nick (which, Christ, he couldn’t tell eighteen year old him that without getting punched), he’d probably think the only reason they were together was because of the dog.
“You’re a fucker and don’t deserve the X Factor position as much as I do,” he responds, nose stuck in the air as he messily packs some of his shirts back into his suitcase. It seems like every time he talks to Nick he’s packing something, never time for undivided attention. Which is a struggle, because Louis loves to be the centre of the universe.
“You love me,” Nick giggles, and seriously, he is thirty years old, he should know better, “you want to have my babies.”
“Maybe I would,” Louis agrees, ignoring the way his cheeks go pink, “doesn’t mean I like you, though.”
When he looks back up, the only thing he can see of Nick is his right eye and his shitty quiff, Pig snuffling into the camera.
It’s probably the only thing he wanted.
