Snowbound || Aaron / Jupiter
Snowpoint City. Jupiter never thought she’d be back here again. She leaned back in the bench and looked towards the overcast sky. It was just the same as when she’d visited weeks prior, though she could not escape the crushing weight that now seemed to envelop her body. Snowpoint was the closest thing to space outside of traversing up the fierce crags of Mount Coronet, but it was here on this bench that she felt otherworldly.
Magenta eyes surveyed the swirling greys and whites of the expressive atmosphere above her—how several weeks could change one’s perspective! There was no need for her to hurry for information any longer; that had already been retrieved. For now, her objective was the Lake Guardian Uxie. But Jupiter felt no more motivation to carry through with those plans than a Snorlax exercising on the world’s most durable treadmill. Cyrus’ plans, she decided, would have to wait.
But for who else but Cyrus would she so loyally follow? Outside her own desires, there was nothing attaching her to this world. Was it for that reason, perhaps, she had said ‘yes’? The Commander didn’t know anymore. He had cast her aside to this sorrowful place—Snowpoint City was the only location he could send her where he would be 100% certain she would be “out of sight, out of mind.” With a frown, she returned to a normal sitting position and brought her knees together. She was a strong, independent woman who didn’t need a man to define her.
But what was the point? She sighed, glancing up slightly to see her Skuntank padding back to her side. Jupiter stroked Lucifer’s head before standing. There was nothing she wanted to do more than to walk off the thoughts that plagued her. Pulling the fur ruff of her collar higher, the Commander walked away from the snow-covered city, her Pokemon bounding from one vacant footstep to the other.
