We helped at our Elks Lodge. They fed 600 this year at the Community Dinner on Thanksgiving. That’s 13 trays of spuds, 10 trays of dressing, 8 trays of cranberry sauce to start. Then there’s Tony who (with Brenda) has the Christmas Gift Drive rolling. They fed 600 PLUS gave clothing (its cold here and people are without coats!!) blankets and more. YOU CAN HELP in your own community. Lastly, we were given the tour of the pantry at Independence High school and met Principal Chris. Elks are feeding the kids EVERY WEEKEND! They have a room in the high school where kids can come on Friday and bring home food for the weekend...for their whole family. No questions asked.
