[pm] I read something today that made me think of you. The author talked about how she imagined she might feel if they were to die and come back. She said little things that never mattered suddenly would, things like light switches and cracks in the stairs. Her neighbor's mannerisms that used to be annoying would seem endearing. Is that what it's like, the world being filled to the brim with meaning?

[pm] Yes and no. Being the way I am, it’s like...the world is half made of cotton or fog. There’s so much less that I can be a part of. And so I realize just how beautiful being fully connected to the world really was. I realize how many little things I took for granted, how much of myself I wasted. I’ve had to teach myself not to be resentful of the living over what was taken from me. It’s just something that is, and it’s impossible to take what little does reach me for granted anymore. Also, my annoying neighbors are still annoying.
