I'm reading a book about local wildlife and I've come to this section about poisonous snakes and insects. All of a sudden this island doesn't feel so safe.

Terry Gifford's Pastoral is the definitive guide on the literary form. Little else can be said about it that hasn't been already introduced in less than 200 pages.

I am harried by recent compulsions to set up a side drabbles blog. Maybe I ought to.

There's an exhibition in London called Death: A Self Portrait. Morbidly fascinating, from what I could gather from reviews. I'm shuddering from the lost hope that I might actually attend.

While there are countless things about you I find especially arresting, being agreeable isn't one of them.
