"Rabbits, Shawn?" Kailee cocked an eyebrow at him, the two hand in hand as he pulled her towards the pet shop.

  "Bunnies, Kai." He responded, a grin touching his face as he led her through the store towards the back, where there was a cage full of rabbits. Without hesitation, he picked one up, gingerly handing it over to the hunter, who stood looking somewhere concerned.

  "Pet the bunny." He said with a smile as wide as a little kid in a candy shop. 

"Why are we petting rabbits, Shawn?"

  "--just pet it, Kai." 

Of course she squinted at him as he picked up a different rabbit, cuddling it to his chest. 

  "They're like little balls of happiness and joy." 

Kailee let out a sigh, finally relenting and cuddling with the animal in question. They were quiet for a few moments, before Kailee looked up.

  "Hey, Shawn?"

"Mmm?" He didn't even look up as Kailee carefully put the rabbit back in his cage.

  "Can we get one?" 

 He would look up to see the most pleading, yet happy expression Kailee could muster as she looked from the rabbits, to him, and then back again. 

  "What? No. No way...no---"

Oh, that wasn't fair.

  "Okay, fine. One."
