SPG Comic - All Variants Compared - Part 1
No major differences in the 'pre' section of the comic, beyond saturation.
As a note, the weird cuts in the webtoon version is because webtoon sucks and is very annoying.
In this segment, if the note isn't very discernible, five's cane gain's the stripes the walter-cane is known for! it not having stripes originally reflects six's concept art
As above, as can be seen here is Five's cane gains stripes
Here we have a major major difference
in the old old comic, Six woke up right here! Marshmallow having woke him. This explains five's eerie green glow he had going on.
You can also see marshmallow leering over the hill & waking six up in the old-old comic!
There are no major differences between website comic Six dream sequence and webtoon dream sequence.
Majorly, the Old Old Comic has six going with his Very Beta design of just a blacked out face!
Additionally, for some reason detail is removed from the bedposts.
Here we have another major change!
Six's dialogue upon waking up changes! It goes from referencing his dream with Five to referencing the purple dream sequence girl.
Additionally, Marshmallows green eyes are toned down a bit, but that's probably stylistic.
Finally, we have the ending sequence. The colors are changed to be warmer, changing the vibe significantly. But other than that, all dialogue stays the same.
Going into the Buster Sequence, we have significantly more major changes, which is interesting!
Buster's outfit is changed! His gray suit jacket is made green, and his blue jeans are cropped out. His hair is also darkened, somewhat.
This segment is probably are largest selection of the differences.
Buster's name & job title is removed from the webtoon variant, which feels important.
Additionally, all mention of particles are removed! The whole thing in the web version of the comic was Becile Indrustries had discovered a particle which would revolutionize science, but it seems the concept of it being a 'particle' has been removed, or at least delayed for now, to be revealed later.
This plays in with Vivian Becile being a 'particle' engineer in her logs. Its interesting if the concept of 'particles' is no longer in play
Additionally, in the webtoon version, there is a lot more blue in whatever it is Buster is holding.
Finally, we have the Why Is He Blue portion of the comic
His hair is SIGNIFICANTLY darkened, in comparison to his original design. Entirely black as opposed to brown. Additional dialogue is added stating that he is wearing makeup to not be blue.
It is also significant to note that the 'gate' dialogue has changed. Again they removed references to particles. But they also inverted whatever was occurring with the gate
'particle readings are off the charts. The highest the fluctuations get' as opposed to 'the fluctuations being gone' and the gate being more stable.
Finally, there is some sort of explosion behind the portal in the webtoon variant.
Buster is also blue. but we have been over this. Why is he Blue
I'll be making more posts like this comparing the lorene segments! (as well as the sepia sequence, I suppose, when/if that moves to Webtoon as well)
