i think theyd get along
Gonna get a little mushy on main for a second, is that ok? Too bad I’m doing it anyway.
Last night I have the privilege to attend Steam Powered Giraffe’s DC show and meet the band afterwards. It was absolutely amazing. Just about everything I could’ve hoped for from the show and MUCH more! The band was hilarious and so incredibly talented, even though the many technical difficulties that went on (and how HOT it was in that theater). They handled it all like absolute champs and, again, I can’t emphasize enough how great the show was.
Ok time for the mushy stuff-
I was so incredibly lucky to get myself a VIP ticket to the show, which allowed me to meet the band afterwards. It was like an hour/hour and a half wait in line but honestly? Between getting to meet the wonderful Walter Workers Chelsea and Camille at the merch table and the sheer anticipation of it all, that time passed quickly. Much like the show, it was better than I could’ve imagined. Each and every one of them are such sweet, wonderful people who I am so very glad to have been able to see live.
I don’t think it’s possible to overstate how much of an impact Steam Powered Giraffe has had on my life. I’ve been a fan for about 7-8 years now (since middle school!) and there really isn’t a part of who I am today that wasn’t touched or influenced in some way by Steam Powered Giraffe. From my sense of humor or even the way I look at the world, I absolutely wouldn’t be the nearly same had I not discovered this band. Their music’s been with me through the good times and the bad, like it has many others. Their characters and the wacky world they’ve built have helped me uncover parts of myself I didn’t know were there before, and changed me all for the better.
Still mad at my younger self for not discovering this band until the year AFTER I moved away from San Diego (just kidding- you’re forgiven, little me), but I’m so glad the band finally made their way to my neck of the woods. This post is already long winded, and I sincerely doubt any of them will ever see this- but, in the event they do:
Thank you, Steam Powered Giraffe. You’re doing a lot of good in the world, more than you know. Keep being awesome and bringing smiles wherever you go!
it's just occurred to me that i don't think i've ever seen the spine run... i have also subsequently realized how terrifying it would be to see him sprint.
date idea you and your girl go down to the fields to scream at the sun go away go awayyyyyyy
spg fans please supply me with your favorite character trivia (and with sources if possible)
doing my studies
@ask-the-becile-boys Decided to draw a panel that we didn’t get to see, how Hare and Skull found Jack on that fated day… could’ve scruffed him up a bit more but it’s late where I am; anyways! Had lots of fun playing around with Jack and artstyles
