I just ordered these to do a special print on textured paper, where I will hand draw some gold accents on it with a fine-tipped gold paint pen. They'll be numbered and signed and I'm doing 25 of them! I will have them at Resin Rose in August. If I have left over ones, I'll offer them online.
I might do a order-ahead con pickup thing (for this and possibly some other non-newer things like my cast Violet heads). Since they'll all be unique, though, it'll be interesting to see if people want to look through them and pick them, or whether they just want a certain edition number, or what. Idk.
I don't often post wips on here but wanted to share I've been drawing my girl lately because I have sphinxes on the brain. My sphinx sculpt isn't exactly her but it's close (will probably do a mod of my Violet head or custom print of one with the proper head tho)
I did NYC doll con last weekend! I don't have Blurred Bits pics from the con, so you get an image of Sphinx Violet's riddle booth here. I made a post about Violetta (the 43cm version of Werewolf Violet) orders on IG and here is part of it, which I hope will explain where I'm currently at with this sculpt:
Since I kinda got an faq at the con, I want to mention here: I’m not sure if I’ll do a preorder for Violetta. I’m not just saying this to create scarcity or fomo, lol; I genuinely am not sure whether I will, for these reasons!: 1.) I’m gonna make my sphinx next! It will take all of my free time to finish up the 3d file and print her prototype alongside my remaining Werewolf Violet (the 68cm one) orders 2.) I have other orders to do! Lovely people gave me money long before NYC con and they deserve their dolls to be finished 3.) I view Violetta as like a resized version of the “real” 68cm doll and I’m not as enthused about printing a bunch because it isn’t a new project for me 4.) I think it would be cool to have Violetta as a convention exclusive or an occasional doll that I print a small number of for specific events or purposes 5.) But my main reason is to prevent burnout in myself. I have to follow my new projects and do those, otherwise I will not enjoy my life lol 6.) There are engineering reasons why she cannot be cast
Hope this helps. Been thinking about it a lot lately but I feel like based on what I know about myself and my work schedule, it seems less likely than I initially thought.
