Hot Off the Presses - Spiced Peaches 58!

Hot off the presses, we have our newest issue of Spiced Peaches - Spiced Peaches LVIII: Pumpkin Spice Spones (Link) I’m so pleased to share this issue with all of you. We have a total 16 story, poetry, and artwork submissions, with contributions from nine different generous and talented coyotes/Spones fans. It’s a marvelous issue, everyone, so please enjoy. We have no NC-17 rated art this issue but there are both an R-rated story and an M-rated story labeled as such. We are waiting on one final submission which should come in by tomorrow , and will be up as soon as we receive it. The missing link will be active then, but we didn’t want to further delay publication.

To all of our contributors, thank you for making this issue come together. We went down to the wire, and we have something splendid. To our newest contributors - welcome! Spock regarded him for another long minute. “I believe the time has come to try a more direct approach.” He withdrew his hand and calmly dipped the index and middle fingers of his right hand into the doctor’s tumbler of bourbon. As Leonard stared at him, astonished, Spock brought the dripping fingers up to his lips. Leonard’s capacity for higher reasoning having abruptly departed the room, he reverted to instinct and did what he always did in the presence of good bourbon – he opened his mouth.

On the white piece of paper was a smattering of small, black dots. McCoy turned the paper, in search of a pattern or alignment of some kind but not finding even a trace. The dots appeared to be drawn at random or rather, McCoy noticed as he squinted, printed. He looked up at where Spock was standing over him and returned a cocked eyebrow of his own.

“If you need help cracking some kind of code, this isn’t exactly my specialty, genius.”

Rather than banter back, Spock responded immediately and smoothly. “It is not a code. That is the alignment of stars that would have been visible in the night sky from Earth should one have been standing at the coordinates where my Mother was born at the moment of the occurrence.” Silence blanketed the room, McCoy not having a goddamn clue how to respond to that. Luckily, Spock wasn’t finished.

“I wish to memorialize her with what most races would call a tattoo, and I would like your help with the matter.”
