Post 2 of incident As a brown person who is trans (assigned female at birth) , I know what it's like to feel cautious or worried in regards to people around you in a public space , but what these women were using as the basis for their actions was not this notion but that of entitlement and racist stereotyping. I made no attempts to interact with them myself except for answering a question that was directed at me and when the music started I was nodding my head along , singing along , which one upon observation would perceive as behaving normally . My skin colour however seemed to alarm them and imagine me as something else . I particularly am baffled what the woman two rows in front of me thought I would do in a public space , security guard nearby and having paid for a pricy (worth it ) ticket. Thankfully the lovely white women behind me who witnessed the incident , sympathised and were willing to vouch for me if needed. But I never should have been called up in the first place for someone else's prejudice , we need to have better working practises for staff to know how to manage these situations . I am lucky I am from England and was able to hold my ground , I can only imagine how horrible that could have been for someone had this happened to a concert goer who had traveled from another country as a significant number had come from abroad. Today I learned why the @spicegirls message of inclusion at the beginning of their show is not only appreciated but necessary too. Thank you @spicegirls @jessglynne for a brilliant show. #spicegirls #jessglynne #spiceworld2019 #spicegirlstour2019 #spiceworldtour2019 #spicegirlswembley https://www.instagram.com/p/ByrFd43jv-g/?igshid=1muz7teghznw9
