My intestines are engaged in the kind of revolt that can only happen when you’ve had jalapenos for the last eight consecutive meals.
I've made a mistake
Why do I have relatives on my Facebook page. Why does anyone have that. Here I am posting an innocent status about enjoying haggis and suddenly there are pictures of a kilt clad toddler (me) flying around my page and a running family history class in the comments. Not to mention a few ignorant attempts at sounding funny and Scottish. Normally I would just grin and love them for their complete lack of brain filters but as it happens I was just involved in a huge rant about North Americans coming to EU or UK and when introduced to, say, a German they will almost immediately attempt to claim to be part german. It comes off as complete bullshit because usually it's just a German great grandfather or some distant thing and so it really means nothing... Big woop you still have no idea what the culture is about to shut our mouth and enjoy it and stop trying to pretend you belong here. ... Jesus settle your kettle Becky eh? Anyways... I suppose I'm a bit embarrassed for my relatives and the fact that they have flooded my Facebook page with glaring red flags of silliness. Which brings me back to my original thought; why the hell do some of us mix social media with relatives. It's like eating street tacos in Mexico.. Seems like a wholesome nice idea, and sometimes the experience is quite enjoyable... but your always taking a gamble with the dreaded spicy butt.
