Currently at 6,300 words for the next chapter - update tentatively scheduled for next Monday :)
It usually takes me a while to get started on the next chapter, the first thousand words usually being the hardest part to write. But so far chapter 24 is at 1,300 words, so I’m really pleased at that - hopefully as I finish re-outlining the chapter, the rest of the words will fall easily into place!
(and all the writers laughed)
The outline for chapter 24 is now finally, completely done!
I used to write chapters with minimal outlines, sometimes even none, thinking that since I knew what I wanted it’d be easy to write. But I’ve discovered over the last few years that that is absolutely not the case, and often leads to big mental road-blocks when writing. So for me, detailed-outlines are a must. But after that, writing becomes 10x easier :)
