Classpecting Mytharia characters!

So I'm a big Homestuck fan and a big Mytharia fan so I gotta classpect them!

Cal is 100% a Prospit Dreamer, no way around it. She's also definitely Hopebound. I'd say she's a Knight of Hope. She protects everyone with her hope and determination!

Coolio Coolington is also a Prospit Dreamer I'd say. Coolio strikes me as Lifebound though I debated Heart as well. Coolio also strikes me as a Witch, a Witch of Life. He manipulates reality through his spells to test the limits of his magic and protect his friends!

Cresie Beilar is a Prospit dreamer and 100% Heartbound. Cresie could be either a Knight or an Heir. We haven't seen a ton of her personality so currently I would place her as a Knight but I could also see her getting changed through her passion, soul, and heart and actually being an Heir. Either a Knight of Heart or an Heir of Heart.

DOOR is hard to place in his lunar sway but I'd go with Derse over Prospit. Specifically because of how he hides his insecurities. DOOR took a minute to place in aspect too, I considered Breath but I lean more in on Rage now. Especially because that would make him the exact opposite of Cal in both lunar sway and aspect. DOOR is also a Bard without argument. A Bard of Rage like Gamzee.

Spider-Volt is actually the first one I thought about and I discussed with some fellow Mytharia-heads and we came to the conclusion he's 100% a Derse dreamer and probably a Prince of Time. He is destruction, remember what he did to that one dude turning him into mist before destroying the others head? Pure destruction and an ending for both of them.

Niles Norales is also hard to place into lunar sway. But I ultimately think he would be a Derse dreamer. He doesn't care what others think and has a good grasp of himself and his self-awareness. I also think he would be a Bloodbound.

due to his strong focus on connections to others, and his loyalty to his friends. Niles could be a Knight as well, but I actually think he would be a Page who's already partway through his arc of becoming more powerful through his connections with others. A Page of Blood.

Bit late to the party, but I need dynamic pose practice and I figured the best way to do that without getting bored of just drawing faceless figures was to make my own spidey so here I am. Currently only have a ref sheet right now but there will be more of her. Also I just realized I totally forgot to colour in her lil lesbian flag, so, uhh, yeah, there's that.

Real Name: Katrina Octavius

Age: 21

Pronouns: she/her (also insert uncoloured lesbian flag here)

Got bitten by a particularly sneaky spider while working on a robotics project, leading to her accidentally zapping herself and getting both the spider stuff and electric abilities

Got bit twice (butterfingers didn't catch it the first time) so now she's half spider as well, fun

Studying robotics in Toronto after getting run out of Vancouver in high school for... reasons

Her mom is her universe's Doctor Octopus... yeah

Can't lie for shit

Nearsighted

Severely weak to water, will fry herself if submerged. Literally has to bathe in distilled water because any lick of minerals makes it conductive and will result in fried spider

Only her little sister knows her secret

Her best friend finds out about her spider shenanigans, but by that point said friend had a symbiote so she really wasn't that shocked (ref sheet for best friend is in the works)

Will technobabble your ears off

TERRIFIED of heights, ironically

Loves to bake, can freestyle basic recipes and they come out fine every time

Her universe's Doctor Octopus (aka her mother) is dead, Volt fucking killed her by accident and regrets it every single day

Made her suit herself, had to explain it as a science project so her dad would stop questioning it

I keep seeing that post about how friends with benefits must also imply friends with consequences, but really, don't all friends have their benefits and consequences?

My benefit is that I'll cook amazing meals for you. My consequence is that I'll autisticly tell you about Mytharia lore and how much I love my partner.

We're all RPG characters (especially me) with strengths and weaknesses, just like Spider-Volt- *gunshot*

I just realised while waiting for the bus I never posted my Soider-Volt and Niles prints series. So I'm still waiting for the bus but now I'm posting it.

These were done with Intaglio printing.

The original concept was opposing forces and these little blorbos as the kids say these days were the first thing to pop into my mind! I knew it had to be them. the eternal struggle over Spider-Volt's wife whose name only I know.

below is all the six prints in the series. 3 of Niles, 3 of Spider-Volt. I plan to give two of them away to people with great ties to the characters

and here are the two I think turned out the best especially when pairs with each other.

I enjoyed making this but I could have spent more time on it I think someone is snorting coke in front of me on the bus. I kinda threw it together last minute and didn't compose the image well or add as much detail as I could have. I could have also worked on the anatomy more, but deadline. I'm still happy with it though. I went into this project wanting to create a connected set of prints wherein Niles and Spider-Volt are fighting, and I did succeed on that.

and Zain if you're reading this I'm never using your ink again there was no linseed oil in that wtf.

I wonder when the Sheisty Spider is going to appear in Mytharia again. His lore and backstory with Spider-Volt is fascinating and I'd love to see them interact more in current day as opposed to the flashbacks we've seen so far about their childhood.
