If you're still accepting these: any thoughts on corru.observer's look?
me looking at videos of this game: O_O
so, there is definitely some form of post-processing dithering going on that i went into at the end of the obra dinn post , though i think it is intentionally left unstable (as in they arent doing the whole sphere-mapped thing, the dither texture is just placed directly onto the screen)
this form of dithering can also be used with colors, not just black and white - it looks like they are having it so all colors are clamped and dithered towards either black, white, cyan, magenta, or yellow
but ALSO it looks like they also have a lot of textures they are using pre-dithered ? like the pixels here Definitely arent uniformly sized
it is a ton of really cool stuff working together to make a really striking and cool visual style... i couldnt even begin to list every thing they are using because it feels like every scene i come across is doing something wild with shaders but i think that the base of it is a dither post processing that brings things to either black/white/cyan/magenta/yellow, and pre-dithered texturing combined with non-dithered textures combined with flat textures. super cool!!!! i hadnt heard about this game until now thank you for bringing it to my attention
the peeled Jirachi that I torment all my friends with—————–Thank you @spiderqueenpc for this, it’s perfect.
I love your Halloween icon
thank you!!! happy spooky season 🎃
Do you have any favorite cartoon bugs?
Ummmmmmmmmmm how about the worm and the spider from James and the Giant Peach. Or Heimlich from A Bug's Life. I don't watch many cartoons I'm afraid!
