I finally saw into the spiderverse yesterday so now I've made a spidersona
"You know the story already right? My name is Andrew Halbert, and for the past year I've been the only Spider Rose out there. I was bit by a radioactive spider, and since then I've been able to shoot webs out of my hands, climb up walls, blah blah blah. You know the rest."
His own universe isn't actually much different than ours, he's just goth. He's 17, and a disaster bi with a male lean.
This is honestly just a big blurb on him
Some stuff about his cloak/suit:
-he made the design himself, but didn't actually make the cloak: he commissioned someone on a designer reddit for it and the whole thing cost him over $500. He payed for it in installments and still comes to them for modifications to it and any maintenance he has for it.
-it's reversible. Since he's a certified Goth Boy™ it's not that weird for him to suddenly start wearing a cloak(especially since before that it was a way too big hoodie)
-the "suit side" Is an ebony color with the spider design on the back, while the "casual side" Is a really dark purple.
-he didn't make the suit either. A friend of his helped him make it.
-When asked why he needed his help making "something as weird as this" The best excuse he could come up with at the time was that his new girlfriend was just "really into spiderman.... Really, really into him."
-He later said that he actually needed it for a cosplay, he was just too embarrassed to say it.
-Other notable reasons he's given to various people about both the suit and the cloak are "they're part of my fursuit" "I'm in a cult" "Haven't you ever heard of roleplay?" And "have you seen my ears? I'm an elf we're obligated to have at least one of these"
-when the cloak is reversed to the casual side the body of the spider flips over, and the legs pull themselves in to clutch on the cloth.
-this makes it harder for people to see the inside, thus making it harder to see the design.
-he discovered he needed this feature after a classmate saw part of the rose, and asked about it. Like an absolute genius, Andrew said "oh that's blood; I'm actually bleeding to death currently."
-the person who made his cloak and his suit are the same. Andrew hasn't realized yet since he's never actually seen the person who made the cloak.
-this is because to secure his privacy he asked the friend who helped him with the suit to go meet up with them to get the cloak, and his friend noticed that it was the same exact location he'd agreed to meet Andrew at to give him the cloak.
-so his friend knows Andrew's Spider Rose, but decided that he wouldn't say anything until Andrew did.
-Andrew made the pin contraption on his own
