A Jefferson County grand jury has indicted one of three Louisville officers in the March 13 fatal police shooting of 26-year-old Breonna Taylor. It was announced Wednesday: Former detective Brett Hankison was indicted on three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment. Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly was not indicted. Detective Myles Cosgrove was not indicted. A wanton endangerment charge is a class D felony and carries a penalty of one to five years in prison. The charges read by Judge Annie O'Connell on Wednesday said that Hankison "wantonly shot a gun" into at least adjoining apartment. The occupants of that apartment were identified by initials. None of them was BT — Breonna Taylor. That means it appears the grand jury did not find that Hankison wantonly fired into Taylor's apartment the night she died. RIP to Actor #chadwickboseman , who played Black icons Jackie Robinson and James Brown before finding fame as the regal Black Panther in the Marvel cinematic universe, died Friday of cancer, his representative said. He was 43. Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side, his publicist Nicki Fioravante told The Associated Press. The rapper has angered members of the fraternity after sporting a red Kappa shirt at the Houston Rockets game on Wednesday night, January 8. The hip-hop star took to his Instagram page to share his pictures from the game, showing him rocking the long-sleeve shirt paired with washed out blue jeans. He accessorized with a bunch of chain necklaces, bracelets and diamond rings as he was sitting courtside. But people didn't appreciate him wearing the shirt, considering the fact that he's not a member of the Black Greek community. Two men in Mississippi wanted to claim a $100,000 lottery prizes so bad, they glued the winning numbers onto a losing ticket, authorities said. Odis Latham, 47, and Russell Sparks, 48, both of Columbus, tried to claim the scratch-off winnings at the lottery headquarters in Flowood on Monday, Mississippi Lottery Corp. spokeswoman Meg Annison told the Clarion-Ledger. The ticket was immediately determined to have been altered using glue to paste on the winnings numbers to match the prize. The lottery agency called the Flowood Police Department about two adult males allegedly trying to claim the ticket. Latham and Sparks were arrested at the lottery headquarters and have been charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and uttering a counterfeit instrument over $1,000. Latham was also charged with false identification information.
