oh also!! my mom had this little dog when she was little that used to sleep by the gate outside, & u could hear him going in circles & jostling the gate & stuff when he was settling down to go to sleep, & when he died, sometimes at night u could hear him walking around and moving the gate & stuff. dnsndj ive got a lot of ghost (?) stories from when my mom was growing up in mexico lol

this isn’t really mine but when my mom was pregnant w me, she said that my dad used to work really late & come home at 5am. & 1 day dad comes home & wakes her up at 3 am & they have an entire convo before my mom asks him ‘hey what’re you doing here so early?’ & my dad responds ‘don’t worry go back to sleep’ & then walks out the bedroom. & when my mom went to look for him he wasn’t anywhere in the house. she stayed up w all the lights on & watching tv until my dad ACTUALLY came home from work lol

Oh I've heard a ton of stories like that before and if it ever happened to me I would straight up have a heart attack lmaoo man imagine seeing someone you're obviously comfortable with and then finding out they weren't there at all

hi!! i’m not sure if i ever told you this, bc i certainly THOUGHT about telling u, but i was rereading powerless and i remembered!! that you coincidentally used my middle name (which is what i go by w my family) & my last name for one of ur characters!! i thought it was pretty funny, as they’re not necessarily common in american writing lol. anyway thanks 4 listening!! happy new years!!

Honestly, that’s one of the reasons I was so intent on making the ensemble and main cast as diverse as possible.  I’ve literally never seen my last name in any piece of media, and I wanted to give people that fun little connection with my characters
