I recently saw a cute picture of a cat cuddling with his very pregnant owner and remembered other stories of pets being fascinated/very protective over their pregnant owners and later the baby, once it's born.
I can't help but wonder: will Spite do that too, if Rook was expecting? Laying next to her hypnotized by the growing belly? Invisibly growling at everyone getting too close? Trying to bring toys to an only days old child, trying to play with them?
Hadn't planned to write anything in that regard, seems I have to now. 😅
