Fuuuuuuuuck!
So my lace is beaded, because I roll like that. I didn’t get around to getting to the shop to pick up more beads last week or this week because I’ve been tired. I figured hell, I’ve got eight little containers of the damn things, that should hold me over until I know I’ll be downtown near the bead shop next week anyway. All good.
So each full round takes up a lot of beads. But hey, eight containers, I should be good. A full round (pattern section and then the plain knit section) takes me about two hours, and I’ve got shit to do so I’m probably only going to get maybe two full rounds done a day, if I’m lucky.
But then I finished one container and I went to pull out a second and I stopped and looked at the beads. They’re just a little bit different, but it’s definitely a little noticeable. So I check the colorway numbers. Yep, different colorways.
I don’t have eight containers, I only have four. And, just now, I finished half of the second. Tomorrow is New Years Eve, everything shuts down for New Years Eve and New Years Day in Japan. Even the grocery stores.
I may hop a train up to the bead shop tomorrow on the off chance that they’re just closing early and then I can grab a bunch of containers, but I may have to be without lace for a few days.
Which, theoretically, means that I should have time to finish knitting my cardigan, my heavy winter shawl, and my socks. But this is a bad theory and I do not like it. I want to finish knitting my lace!
Die Reform beginnt an der Spitze. Die Treppe muss von oben gekehrt werden.
