Alright! here goes
Saph was the first person Becquerel met outside of the domain and outside of his home isles. Becquerel found him stuck in some rocks after being chased by some lizalfos and other aquatic monsters.
Becquerel didn't realize it until 5 seconds after pulling him out that Saph was not just huge, HES WHALE HUGE, this is about 5 months out of meeting the royal hunk and royal whale, so in the back of his mind hes been developing a thing for men who are quite literally twice his size.
After rescuing the, quite literal ship of a man Saph had to thank Becquerel, so grabbing him by the arm he hoisted him back to his home before cooking him a meal, in this they got to know each other a lot more.
Spending a few days with Saph Becquerel talked to him about possibly coming back to the domain with him since theres no restaurant and Becquerel thinks he'd make a killing there, so Saph agreed
A day before they left back to the domain Saph let Becquerel snuggle up to him in bed, this left confusing, aching feelings in Becquerel, he just sorta melted into the large Fin Whale Zora. Saph noticed and has been teasing the poor soul to death about having a thing for men 50 times size and heft, which becquerel fights back by biting his middle
After getting back Becquerel had to explain what happened and why there was a new 10 ton whale fin Zora with him to Sidon, this has left the King and everyone else in the Guard to realize, Becquerel is a hearthrob.
