This beautiful little butterfly was found in Peru, August 2015 and has been set against a stunning piece of splash copper. This intricate scene is protected within a pocket watch case that has a magnified window. Splash copper pieces are truly unique. They showcase the contrasting elements of natural beauty and manmade processes in harmony with one another. The metallic sheen and vibrant shades of pink, orange, purple and blue form organic, intricate shapes. Splash copper is created when copper is heated up to a staggering 2,200 degrees fahrenheit and “splashed” onto a piece of metal to cool.
